In case you happen to live under a rock and missed International Women’s Day on Monday: it was International Women’s Day on Monday. We wanted to use the time to celebrate the fantastic women we have within the Evolved Search team and then realised: a day just isn’t long enough!

So this week we’re releasing a series of three articles featuring our gals in the team and, as you might have gathered from the title, this is the second edition.

So grab a cuppa or whatever you fancy and settle down to meet our fierce females…

Danielle Pegg-Mowbray

What is your role at Evolved?

Women in Search - Danielle Pegg Mowbray - Evolved Search

I’m Content Marketing Lead within our award-winning Content team.

How did you get into digital?

A meandering of sorts. I’ve had a number or roles over the years, most with a creative or writing aspect. One job needed me to work on an online database, which led to organising and training organisations around the country on it. This led to a social media role, digital marketing, ecommerce, more social media and then I landed the job at Evolved.

What are you most proud of?

I’m a published poet.

What are you passionate about?

Family, writing, film, books, hats, Ancient Egypt

Fun Fact:

My husband proposed to me at a film premiere on the red carpet with Penelope Cruz and Johnny Depp standing behind me.

Lauren Green

What is your role at Evolved?

I am a Content Marketing Consultant, working on both onsite and content marketing campaigns for a range of clients.

Lauren Green - Evolved Search

How did you get into digital?

I originally trained as a fashion journalist but my first job was in 2014 and involved writing about hen and stag dos, so that was very different from what I planned. After that, I realised I enjoy copywriting and got into digital and haven’t looked back since.

What are you most proud of?

I think making the move from my home town when I went to University and then staying in the North East afterwards when I had the opportunity to go back home. It made me stand up on my own two feet.

What are you passionate about?

I love writing, inside and outside of work, and reading. My animals, of course, and food. Definitely passionate about food, and I try to cook as much as possible. I’ve also got super into pottery during lockdown so catch me on the Great Pottery Throwdown next year.

Fun fact:

I’m aiming to become the next chess champion after watching The Queen’s Gambit.

I used to work for a stag and hen company, so I’ve seen and heard plenty of weird requests that people get up to. I’ve even been on weekends to try out activities, and have been clay pigeon shooting, white water rafting, cocktail making, quad biking, tried out rage buggies and loads more.

What is your role at Evolved?

I’m a Senior Account Manager in our Client Services team working with a wide range of clients to keep them happy with the Evolved service and continuously look for ways to accelerate their growth.

How did you get into digital?

Fell into it! I was looking for a new challenge and an Account Manager role came up at an agency in Newcastle. I had absolutely no idea what Digital Marketing was at the time so I had to learn on the fly what SEO, PPC, Affiliates, CRO and Analytics was – and quickly!

That was three years ago and I’ve never looked back.

What are you most proud of?

During lockdown in December, I started my own small business designing and creating custom dog tags and keyrings. In under 3 months, I’ve sold well over 200 tags, have a 5-star rating on Etsy and have just launched my own website

What are you passionate about?

I’m obsessed with and literally don’t stop talking about my dog. It’s a personality trait at this point.

Fun Fact:

I was once bitten by a raccoon whilst on holiday and they were unable to find me a rabies vaccination in the whole of Mexico, so that was fun.

Bekki Ramsay

What is your role at Evolved?

I’m a Digital PR Consultant and have worked in a wide range of sectors during my time at Evolved, but now specialise in personal finance and interiors which, happily, are two interests of mine.

How did you get into digital?

After graduating from university with a First Class Honours in Fashion Communication, I tried my hand at visual merchandising at H&M but like, RuPaul, I realised H&M wasn’t for me…

I then decided to pin-point which modules I most enjoyed whilst studying such a broad course, and eventually decided on PR. After looking into both in-house and agency PR roles across the North East, I settled on the best, Evolved Search, and applied – landing my first role as a Digital PR Executive.

What are you most proud of?

Somehow having the mental energy to create a project in lockdown 3.0 – my bookstagram: @bekkis.bookshelf.

What are you passionate about?

PR, pop culture (especially the Kardashians), trashy TV, interiors, bubble baths, books and finding a good bloody bargain.

Fun fact

I once went on BBC Breakfast (yes, the TV show) to talk about how brilliant oat milk is.

How did you get into digital?

Since college I’ve always wanted to work in PR. I studied Public Relations at university and after graduating I began looking for PR jobs.

Whilst looking for PR jobs I came across a vacancy for an Outreach Executive and loved the sound of it! I ended up getting that job working my way up to a Senior Outreach Executive then moving to Evolved in November 2020 to be a Digital PR Consultant.

What are you most proud of?

Every time I get my clients featured on a national publication or a big publication in their industry.

Graduating with a First Class Honours was also pretty special!

What are you passionate about?

My dog, binge watching series on Netflix and clothes shopping.

Fun Fact:

I worked as an au-pair in Madrid one summer for three months between my second and third year of university
